one of the guys who works for me has a wife who is a jw, but he is not.

his son-in-law also used to work for me until he got his license to sell real estate.

he serves as a minsterial servant in his congregation.

this afternoon i went out to lunch with a few witnesses who were talking and talking about what .

a great district assembly program there is going to be this year.

they have not gone yet, but people from their old congregation which is up in northern wisconsin .

I need some input (Migraines)

does anyone know of any documented proof that long hair causes migraine headaches?.

the reason i ask is because my 16 year old son has this head full of curls.

he also has what we believe to be bad migraines.

Wedding Talks

a few weeks ago, there was a thread started on jw funeral talks and how horrible they are, but what about those wedding talks?.

talks that has nothing to do with the couple itself, but an advertisement about how wonderful marriage in jehovahs organization is.

*eye roll * the worst is when they have to bring up sex in the marriage in a wedding talk *barf*.

Oh when my niece got married, she had a JW elder marry her, and she didn't get married in the hall either, the elder looked like he was performing at the Apollo, he had a purple/wine color suit, the suit jacket was like a 6 button suit that went all the way past his knees, he had silk and gator skin shoes with diamond studs, his tie matched his shoes and was 1/2 leather 1/2 silk with diamond studs across the upper part, his dress shirt was the same color as his shirt with a white collar, and he had a pimp style hat. I was like no way this guy is a JW, but when he started talking he sure was, with the exception of he spoke like a baptist preacher that you see on tv, and I was yelling at myself inside my head for not bringing a camera to record this guy. He was totally Pimp yo Elder!

My wife is a florist, and she had a JW wedding that she did flowers for and everything was planned months in advance, a couple days before the wedding she got a call that the venue had changed and that it was not going to be at the kingdumb hall and it was going to be at a house, my wife was shocked, she asked me why would they choose not to get married in their church, I said looks like they couldn't keep it in their pants and confessed. don't know any other reasons why they wouldn't have it a the hall.

What is your strangest "supernatural" JW story?

i had just became a witness and a guy i worked with, who was also a jw, told me a story that actually made me laugh and i think it upset him a bit.

the storys were almost always in the third person.

it went as follows.. this brothers wife and him were sitting at the kingdom hall on the end seats of the row next to the back of the room.

I heard one where a young couple just had a baby, they were perfect dubs, and either his mom or her mom came to live with them, she wasn't a JW, and turned out she was in to the occult and the family were very disturbed by this, they kept their bible open in the bedroom, but they couldn't kick out poor old mom. One night little JW wife gets up because she hears the baby crying, she looks around the room but doesn't see the baby, she walks out in to the livingroom and sees the baby floating in the fish tank and the water is suspended above the baby, she runs to rescue the baby and calls out Jemima's name and as soon as she pulls the baby out the water comes crashing down inside the tank. The next day arrangement are made for Worldly Deomonic Mother in Law to live elsewhere. Seems like a great way to get rid of your mother in law, SHE IS BRINGING DEMONS IN TO OUR HOUSE!! ha ha ha

Help! My parents are addicted to this site!

just thought i'd check out all the hoopla with this site.since i can't phone home without my parents being on here and talking to me at the same time.. anyone elses parents huge apostates?

i keep telling my mom my dad she write a book on jw's,all he needs are some good typing skills and he'd be off.. i am wondering if anyone knows about any support groups for addicted computer users?
